Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know about PrematchIQ — the engines, the Pass, your data, and what we don't do.

  • 01What is PrematchIQ?

PrematchIQ is a football analytics platform that publishes calibrated probabilistic predictions for match outcomes (1X2) and total goals (Over/Under 2.5). Walk-forward validated, public methodology, no tipster claims, no betting advice.

  • 02How are predictions calibrated?

Calibration is enforced at the source rather than via post-processing. Our Phase D evaluation rejected isotonic regression (overfit on small per-tournament samples) and global temperature scaling (degraded per-tournament ECE). The World Cup engine ships with calibration_method="none" and reaches a pooled ECE of 0.026 on 1X2 across 8 walk-forward tournaments (32,101 matches) — when we say 60%, historical outcomes confirm ~60%.

  • 03What's the difference between Pass CdM and Season Pass?

The Pass CdM 2026 ($49 one-time) covers all 104 World Cup matches from June 11 to July 19, 2026. The Season Pass ($49/month) covers the top-5 European leagues (Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) starting August 2026.

  • 04Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The Season Pass is a monthly subscription with no commitment — cancel anytime from your dashboard. The Pass CdM is a one-time payment with no recurring charges.

  • 05How is my data used?

We collect only what is necessary: email and name for your account, and anonymous usage analytics to improve the platform. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

  • 06When does the World Cup pack launch?

The Pass CdM 2026 launches June 11, 2026 — the day of the opening match (Mexico–South Africa). Pre-registration is available now at /register.

  • 07Is PrematchIQ a betting service?

No. PrematchIQ is an analytics platform. We provide calibrated probabilities and narrative analysis. You decide what to do with that information. We do not place bets, recommend stakes, or guarantee profits.

  • 08What model do you use?

Two models, one calibration discipline. The World Cup engine is an analytical Elo + bivariate Poisson model with Dixon-Coles correction, tuned on a 32,101-match dataset via 100 trials × 7 analytical parameters (Phase E, ECE 0.026 on 1X2). The club-football engine is a LightGBM classifier with Optuna-tuned hyper-parameters on the top-5 European leagues (~8,530 matches, ECE 0.0281 on 1X2 and 0.0091 on Over/Under 2.5). Full methodology is published on our Methodology page.

Honest filter

Be informed before you decide.

We're not a tipster service. Here's what calibrated football analytics actually means — and what it doesn't.

Not a tipster service

We sell calibrated probabilities, not winning bets. No system promises ROI.

Markets are smart

Closing market odds remain better calibrated than ours on average. We focus on transparency, not edge.

Past ≠ future

Past performance does not guarantee future results. ECE 0.026 historical does not mean every prediction is right.

Squad rotations exist

World Cup matches involve fitness uncertainty, rotations, and emotional factors harder to model than club football.
